I was reading Yahoo! News as I am apt to do in the morning, and I saw a story and a picture that just boggled my mind made me want, no.... need to write this entry. I am looking at those bottles, with their cloudy strangely colored liquids, and the thought of drinking what's inside makes me want to ralph... it looks nasty.... I mean, who wants to drink a Turkey and Gravy flavored beverage from a bottle!? or Green Bean casserole.?! I mean, that's just... ACK! Now, I generally like ...

After seeing another blogger's list of the 100 greatest videos ever... well, it got me to thinking about some of the videos that I thought were great, and don't often appear on lists... now, I am not talking about the Windowlickers, Rabbits in the Headlights and Buddy Hollies out there.... I am talking about some videos that didn't get that much air play, or were sequestered to certain shows or are largely forgotten when people think about modern videos. Madvillain- ALL CAPS : This ...

I got a good laugh this afternoon when I read a story on the Internet Movie Database... when I read the reason that the studio attributed to the failure for the wretched remake of Alfie is not that it was a bad film(even though it was recently named the 6th worst remake of all time)... no... it was because of the ELECTION RESULTS!?! Huh? That is the lamest excuse EVER. I mean, if all movies were down last weekend, maybe they would be on to something, but the Incredibles did incredible bu...

Yes, once again, I tread on the path of Pointwhoredom, but considering it is a Monday( Strong Bad Email day! ), it seemed like a good time to post this little bit of internet fun/fluff. My results are totally in fitting with my favorite character.... Take the Homestar Runner Character Quiz by Coach Vee! ...though I probably could have easily been Strong Sad too. If you've never watched the Homestar Runner cartoons, you can get the jist of the characters in their own w...

A friend of mine sent me this weird music file a few weeks ago of a band playing a Countrified Radiohead medley... and I listened to it once or twice then.... and then I listened to it again last night, and now I can't stop. If you like country or Radiohead, you should check it out too... its worth it, I swear. It boggles my mind that someone would actually do this, but the depressing nature of both country/western music and Radiohead just goes so well together....

According to a poll by DVD rental firm ScreenSelect.co.uk, the 10 worst remakes were: 1) Get Carter 2) Psycho 3) Thunderbirds 4) La Femme Nikita(Point of No Return) 5) Charlie's Angels 6) Alfie 7) Planet of the Apes 8) Starsky and Hutch 9) Cape Fear 10) Oceans Eleven. Which makes me wonder what these people were thinking... I mean, yes, there are some HORRIFIC movies in that list, but there have been much, much worse remakes than Cape Fear and Ocean's Eleven(w...

After reading a story from the CNN site about a little Georgian girl who is living life without the ability to feel pain, it got me to thinking about just how important relevant pain is.... now I am not talking about debilitating pain, like from arthritis or chronic back ailments... I mean, the pain from when you sprain a limb, or cut yourself, or even, yes, the dreaded toothache/dental abcess... and how that would affect how you lived your life. In the story, those who know the girl desc...

I think all this partisan mudslinging should end pretty quick.... the elections over already, and we should start concentrating on more important things. I am looking forward to return of the halcyon days when the left, right and center could agree that all politicians are basically all intrustworthy scum and no matter who gets in office, well, you are getting screwed over in some way or another. Is that too much to ask? Let's go back to those days when politicians were people who were to...

We live in a society where doctors and lawyers along with a lot of other professions need to be licenced to perform their work, and with the recent rash of lip synching incidents, now seems like as good a time as any to implement a new system for dealing with these egregious performance frauds, and I think I have come up with a very workable and entertaining solution. People who want to have a career singing in concert will have to perform Karaoke on television at least twice a year to obt...
