I thought for my first column here, a quick review of 5 excellentmovie-related sites wouldn't be in poor tastes, especially since the summermovie season is almost over. So enjoy, and I hope to have a new TheElectronic Fringe up every week. I hope you enjoy! The Internet Movie Database - http://www.imdb.com/   Basically, this is the best starting place whenever you want to knowsomething about a movie or television series. I call it the "BetSettler," as it usually has...

After reading one of Angloesque 'smore recent blog entries, I began thinking about some of the things that havebeen said to me as a writer, whether it be in workshops or amongst my peers oreven from editors. For the most part, even when these people were being theirmost negative, I was able to take their constructive criticism in the spirit inwhich it was given, and their occasional scorn with grace and good nature. It then goes through in order a number of stateme...

I know that quite a few little quizzes have been posted to the forums and in a lot of blogs, but given a lot of the discussions I've seen here, it seemed very appropriate. Are you a Neoconservative? My results said that I could be categorized as being one of many: Liberals… Are wary of American arrogance and hypocrisy Trace much of today's anti-American hatred to previous US foreign policies. Believe politi...

About last summer, me and a couple of my friends were sitting around drinking at a bbq and we started playing this stupid game from LiquidGeneration called Who Would You Rather . As the night wore on, it became a rapid fire game, where you had to answer right away. It was stupid and juvenile, I'll admit, but in the end, it taught me a lesson. No matter how objectionable a choice might seem to be, eventually, you can find something seemingly worse.  As days went on, we started to apply it t...
