A little bit weird, a little bit political with a lot of humor.

The resemblance is uncanny! Carl Spackler is the man!

" A man never lies so much as after a hunt, during a war or before anelection. " -Otto Von Bismarck With the election day voting just mere hours from starting, itstarted me thinking about those very words uttered by Chancellor Otto vonBismarck in the late 19th century, and look in retrospect at the actions of both Kerry and Bush in thiscampaign and in their careers and private lives.  So let's start with the hunt.  Now, it would be easy to talk about George W. B...

They say confession is good for the soul, and at this point, I could use as much cleansing for my soul as I can get, so here goes. I am a recovering soap addict... and I was over 3000 days clean of the addiction until last summer when I started seeing previews for this little show that Fox was going to be rolling out called the O.C. .... and I thought I recognized one of the actresses from this movie called Lawn Dogs with Sam Rockwell, and I had to find out if it was the same gal (whic...

As has been reported by both me and a lot of other media sources earlier, CBS/60 Minutes just happened to be at the SNL set the week of the Ashlee Simpson lip synching gaffe, and in the aftermath of the incident, Leslie Stahl interviewed the force behind Saturday Night Live, Lorne Michaels. After some rather jovial questions about the history of the show, and how he was perceived by some who had left the show, he was asked the questions we all wanted to know about. First he was asked ...

While I was at the Internet Movie Database , I saw an excellent little quiz devised by MSNBC, and in the spirit of the holiday, I thought I would share it with you all. Its 11 questions, so its a really quick fun thing. This is how I did: Thanks for taking our quiz. You answered 92% of the questions correctly. Very Good. You know so much about horror films, I bet people edge away from you nervously when you walk by. Keep up the good work! So, let's see how well you know you go...

I was just watching Eminem perform Mosh on SNL.... and it sounded WAY too close to the video version. I mean, it was almost exactly the same as what was on the video, and at one point I could have sworn he pulled the mike away from his mouth, and he was still singing(it might have been his own backing vocal though). I can't prove it conclusively, but it looked like he was. The irony is that SNL has been really ripping into Ashlee Simpson all show.... and if he did lip synch, well, it makes...

As with a lot of television shows, you eventually have to have a clip show... and in the blogging business, well, there aren't really clip shows. But, since this was my 100th article, I thought that format might be worth a shot. I mean, it is my blog, and I have a clip show if I want to.... hehe. But I think a better word for it is a " retrospective " because that sounds just so much... classier and sophisticated, and let's face it , this blog could you a shot of both of those qualities. ...

Nicknames... we've all had them in the past(at least I think we all have), and while some of them are good and some of them are simply awful, I think they all have a tendency to stick with us, like barnacles on the bow of our ship of memories. I thought it would be sort of interesting to talk about them. And I don't mean a name you picked for yourself for a login or other use. I mean, names you were given by other people. I would like this to be a positive experience, so if you don't want to ...

I don't care who wins the election on Tuesday... I just hope John McCain runs for the presidency in 2008, because I have a lot of respect for him, and I think he would make an excellent statesman. He also seems to have a lot more integrity than BOTH the current candidates running today, so I think he would be a breath of fresh air. He has done so much in his senatorial career which is worth mentioning, like his crusade against Pork Barrel practices, his desire for stronger laws for corpor...

After watching this ad that was probably designed to garner new clients for the agency, it made me wonder why more real ads aren't this audacious. I mean, for the shock factor alone, it would be worth it. Even if it was for the post 9PM time slot, I think it would be so worth it. I want companies to take more risks... be willing to push the envelope really far. YOU CAN DO IT!

Call it an October Surprise of another sort, but the folks at Snopes.com, the Urban legend debunkers came across a claim that they couldn't debunk... in fact, they found out it was even more freakish. The claim they originally heard was that for the last 15 elections, the Washington Redskins were the most accurate barometer for the resulting presidential election... and it turns out it wasn't the last 15.... it was the last 17. SInce the 1936 election, the Washington Redskins performance ...

Following in the footsteps of Texas Wahine's Are you White Trash article based on a quiz and my own article based from a similar quiz at that site called How evil are you , I decided to explore the site a little further and discovered something which should appeal to us all... ...our internet addiction level. I knew going into it I was highly addicted to this information medium... so I was a little surprised by my results. I AM 41% INTERNET ADDICTED! I could go either way. Deep i...

Hello, my name is Matthew, and I am a points whore.... its been less than 24 hours since my last activity. I fell off the wagon, I admit it after I zealously went after Ashlee Simpson. I loved the attention... I had missed it so much before, and I don't want it to stop. But it must, because its just not healthy. So in that spirit., I've decided to create the 12 step program... for overcoming being a points whore. 1. I admit that I am powerless when it comes to how the points come... 2...
