A little bit weird, a little bit political with a lot of humor.

In my fine tradition of some of the other quizzes I've posted, and keeping in mind that I am a South Park character at heart... ... it just seemed like the right time to post this little gem... it is a short 16 question quiz which spits out a short list of results... and in my case, the answers indicated that I was Stan Marsh. So which South Park character are you? I am waiting for the first Officer Barbrady myself.

I have been reading a lot of the hype about the upcoming Harry Potter movie, and I got to thinking about one of the most demented and yet high-concept parodies I have seen in a while. Basically, the creator of "Kill Harry" isn't really a fan of either the legendary fantasy series or the hyperkinetic dual shotgun blast of Tarantino's latest epic, and so, with an odd flair, the artist and writer has decided to put these two works together, along with a great deal of other pop culture refere...

So, for the fans of the Family Guy out there, how did you like the new season? Do you think that the new environment at the FCC is going ot have a detrimental effect on the show? Personally, I rather enjoyed the first episode(especially the opening), but it did seem to be a little uneven as well... hopefully it will seem less so as the weeks go by. And given that Fox is looking more for DVD sales from the series than raw ratings(being up against Desperate Housewifes at the moment, ...

After reading Gideon 's post about How's your taste in Music , I got to thinking about another little quiz I found on the same site a couple of weeks ago, and I thought I would share it with the rest of you. So, What Kind of Blogger are you? Here's my results: You Are a Snarky Blogger! You've got a razor sharp wit that bloggers are secretly scared of.And that's why they read your posts as often as they can! What kind of blogger are you? Personally, I don'...

Seeing as I have not been as current with this site(and keeping up my own blogging escapades to the standard that I once did), this may have been posted before, but I found a site called Montage-a-google which uses the image search function of Google to make a mosaic-like montage picture based on the search term you entered, and I thought it was worth sharing with everyone else. While I do believe the searches are safe(the "adult" filter is on), there is still the possibility that somet...

I just got really angry at CNN for the way they were sort of making fun of Dogs Playing Poker. "They aren't even painted on Velvet!" was Miles O'Brien's off-the-cuff remark as they were reporting that two of the 16 painting series of "Dogs Playing Poker" were sold for almost 600 thousand dollars. Yes, I am willing to admit that its not fine art, nothing that would hang in the Tate or the MOMA, but dammit, I really do like them. They are a little hokey, but what do you expect from Advertis...

I am surprised I have to write this entry, but I just had to say it. As a fan of Family Guy, I was heartily disappointed by the premiere of American Dad. To me, it just didn't feel right... the timing and pace of the show had a lot to be desired. I know that Seth MacFarlane had given me high expectations, and I was prepared for a show that at first wouldn't dazzle me in comparison, but I was not expecting to feel so let down. Even when compared with the second show of another famous creato...

I guess it's ok to post this, as I received it as part of an email(as did probably 10K other people). Basically, I am a member of DotTK, and they were just explaining the reason for a recent little disturbance in service.... and I have to say, it was a pretty good reason. The satellite used for all communication, the Intelsat 804, disappeared from the sky mid January because of a technical problem. The satellite 804 could technically not be controlled any longer by Intelsat, the satel...

As some of you had noticed, I took a little break away from blogging and JoeUser in particular. While there were some personal issues in real life that led me to take a break, but it wasn't the only reason. After the most recent election, I found myself getting increasingly angrier and angrier with the level of rhetoric coming from both sides and the anger of a lot of the discourse here, and with what was going on in real life... well, I had a feeling that I was going to go ballistic on so...

Winston Churchill famously quipped when discussing the merits of democracy that: "Democracy is the worst form of government except for all those others that have been tried," and I think that is much in keeping with my sentiments about the Bowl Championship series or BCS in 1-A College Football. The BCS, implemented in 1998 as a replacement for the Bowl Coalition/Alliance system, was designed to match up the #1 and #2 ranked teams in a bowl game to determine who was the national champion....

Should auld acquaintance be forgot, And never thought upon, The flames of love extinguished, And freely past and gone? Is thy kind heart now grown so cold In that loving breast of thine, That thou canst never once reflect On old-long-syne?
