A little bit weird, a little bit political with a lot of humor.
Yay or Nay?

So, for the fans of the Family Guy out there, how did you like the new season? Do you think that the new environment at the FCC is going ot have a detrimental effect on the show?

Personally, I rather enjoyed the first episode(especially the opening), but it did seem to be a little uneven as well... hopefully it will seem less so as the weeks go by. And given that Fox is looking more for DVD sales from the series than raw ratings(being up against Desperate Housewifes at the moment, that seems realistic), it seems that this new lease on life for the series might have a few more years left in it.

I am SOOOOOO excited it's back on. I really enjoyed the first episode, however I agree with you. It did seem a tad choppy and like they were trying too hard....I don't care though, it's one of the greatest shows of all time and I'm extatic that it's back on!

I'm so happy it's back too! It's one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. I loved the opening zinger, and the bit where the heads on Mount Rushmore are talking. It did seem different from the older episodes, but it was still good, and will hopefully improve. Now, the question is, what did you think of American Dad? It was pretty good, and had some laughs, but it simply pales in comparison with the original.

I loved the first episode! Especially the Passion 2 bits and Peter as Jesus. I was in tears with the show list at the beginning.

Yeah, a little choppy overall, but I think it'll just take a few episodes for them to get back into the swing of things.

I think when the neighbors come back, it will probably reach its full form again.

I loved the line, "Christians don't believe in gravity."

Yeah. Especially Quagmire.

Peter-"If I was Jesus I would do something about it."
(sound effects)*whip**crack*
Peter-"Hey, just stop it. Stop it"
Roman soldier-"Okay."

I like the whole Passion of the Christ 2 part, it was awesome.

And when they went to the news with Tom Tucker talking about his son, and they cut over to the angry black weatherman... they use that character JUST enough to be funny... hehe

Asian correspondent Trisha Takanawa and when Gepetto bent over in front of Pinocchio hoping Pinocchio would tell a lie.

This is a good site for info on pretty much every show that has ever aired. Including episode titles, cast members and what roles they played, air dates, etc.Link

Since we're evidently revealing lines, here's the Rushmore gag I talked about earlier:

Washington: Hey, hey, Jefferson. Check it out. Chick's getting nailed on my head.

Jefferson: Sweeeeeeeet. Hey Roosevelt, tell Frankenstein over there.

Lincoln: Haha you guys.

I loved the opening, too. For me, it seemed to say "Fox, you're dumb. Look at all the shows you could be making money of off if you didn't yank them right away." Fox should call itself the cult show network already (Firefly, Wonderfalls, Greg The Bunny.)

I took the first line more to mean that Fox put up a real set of stinkers that all failed (Firefly being the exception), sort of to stick it in their faces that they canned a popular show to put up crap in its place.

I liked Andy Richter Controls the Universe, Wonderfalls and Greg the Bunny... they just don't give anything a chance anymore... I think that Cheers and Hill Street Blues should be brought up every time they think about cancelling a show.
