A little bit weird, a little bit political with a lot of humor.
Comic dropped by its New York home.
Published on October 6, 2005 By historyishere In Humor
I just found out that one of my favorite comics, Rehabilitating Mr. Wiggles, is no longer going to be in the New York Press, which I fear will perhaps change its availability elsewhere as well. In that vein, I am posting creator Neil Swaab's short entry asking those of us who love his demented work to email and snail mail the NY Press to see if they will reconsider.

Hopefully other bloggers will pick this up and do the same... so if you know bloggers on other sites who like Rehabilitating Mr. Wiggles as well, please pass this on and have them publish Mr. Swaab's letter so this little story gets out.

Dear folks,

After more than five years in The NY Press, the new editorial team has decided to quit running Rehabilitating Mr. Wiggles. Needless to say, this is a big disappointment to myself for many reasons. If you enjoy the comic, then please let the editors know how you feel about this decision and ask them to reconsider. The only way it will be able to come back to the paper is if people like you let it be known that you won't stand for it. You can e-mail the editors at editorial@nypress.com or Harry Siegel at hsiegel@nypress.com.

If you'd care to send snail mail, the address is:

New York Press
333 7th Ave., 14th Floor
New York, NY 10001

Thanks kindly,

Neil Swaab

I hope the groundswell is massive on this, because I look forward to Mr. Wiggles every week.

Thanks in advance.
