What is the world coming to?
So the Virginia Democratic party is... eyeing Ben Affleck to take on Republican Senator George Allen in next year's elections. Affleck claims through his representation that he wouldn't run if he moved into the Charlottesville area with Jennifer Garner, but his representative, Ken Sunshine(which is right up there with Bumble Ward for sheer name oddity) said that "He would make a superb public candidate for public office in the future."
Just when you think something can't get worse.... just bring in Ben Affleck. It is just a recipe for failure.
I can imagine the debates where they attack his character... and my god, there is so much to attack:.
"Mr. Affleck, how can the people of this state trust you when you were engaged to J.Lo, the marriage merry-go-round?"
"What do you say to the criticism that you have no decision making skills... I mean, you thought both Gigli and Surviving Christmas were good vehicles for your career?"
"Should we vote for someone who needed Charlie Sheen of all people to drive him to rehab?"
"Is it not true that you have lashed out at your friends publicly on a few occasions?
And considering how he chooses his projects, how well would he choose which bills to support? I pale at the thought of senator Ben Affleck...
...though if his Changing Lanes co-star Samuel L. Jackson ran for public office, well... that's another story... because he's a bad mother... well, you know the rest..."
