A little bit weird, a little bit political with a lot of humor.
If it is a bad time to post, I think I've hit it...

There are some really... bad times to post blog entries.... most of these times are transitory it seems, but Friday afternoons have never been kind to me here for posting articles, and Tuesdays and Wednesdays have often been much better to me... don't know why.

So, does anyone else have times/days that they hate to post new entries?

Nope, I always suffer from timezone discrimination, unless I post in the middle of the night, which doesn't happen very often

I always lack inspiration early in the week, Monday or Tuesday. Usually I blog late at night. Theres always something wanting my attention during the day. Though because of the different timezones that works ok.

Posting in the middle of the night (just after midnight) doesn't seem to be too kind to me, although that may also be that people don't enjoy my blog.
But I think it's that there are *just* enough people posting that I scroll down too far by morning, when most of the "readers" are around.

Sally: I remember that article you wrote about the layout of your week blog entry you did.... you indicated the lack of inspiration early in the week there too... though that was a Tuesday article too

Mack: So you are saying that almost any normal time for you is a bad time to post

pseudosoldier: If you get one or two people to reply during the night, it usually will carry over into the morning.... or at least I've found that....

Yes, I believe that's what I meant, assuming "normal time" refers to U.S. timezones...sorry, it's 11:40pm here, brain running on empty

No, I meant normal time as in the times that would be normal hours where you are....

See what I mean? I don't think I'm thinking right now...lol...let's continue this tomorrow

I've noticed that posting on weekends, oddly enough, seems to be when more people respond to enteries, not mine of course.....but ya, some days of the week a post might get more answers. I've been posting here quite awhile now, and have all of about 7 comments total, so am thinking I might as well write in an old-fashioned diary! or some lessons in writing......

Most people seem to blog at night.

Most forums have about 4-5 hour peak period window, that's when most people are awake, at home. This is when they seem to gather, it's the best time generally speaking: The Americans are in the late night time, the Aussies are in the morning and the Europeans are in the early evening. Then the Americans go to bed, the Aussies (and the SEasians) go to work, the Europeans are probably the last to log off. The Aussies come home, they post, the Americans just woke up, the Europeans are (maybe) still sleeping. The Americans go to work, the Europeans just woke up, the Aussies are in the evening -- this is probably the quietest time I should think. And so the cycle goes. (Disclaimer: because Europe is so large a place, time zone place seems to be harder for me to figure out... I might be wrong somewhere in the above assumptions about the Europeans.)

That does seem to fit the pattern Raven...
