A little bit weird, a little bit political with a lot of humor.
Amazon maybe pushing an agenda of its own here...

Jon Stewart in Amazon/Daily Show book scam

I was browsing the Bad Cookie site, and I clicked on their sponsor link, and I was surprised to find amongst 5 other books about fortune cookies, America the Book by Jon Stewart... I didn't know it had anything to do with fortune cookies... imagine my shock.

Honestly, I think that Amazon is using its own technology to push a few items in a less than subtle way(and not with any particular political agenda mind you), despite the assurances that recommendations would be based on sales patterns and other such data and not by pure placement.

Then again, a bucks a buck... so I guess they have a right to do that too... I am going to see how long it remains recommended for this particular item.

I think it might be tied in with what you've been looking at lately. Or not!

The only items in my recently viewed history at Amazon is a 10-pack of Startech 250W computer power supplies and that fortune cookie book.

Perhaps they are saying that his comments are about as accurate as a fortune cookie...in bed!

Or that the faux naked pictures of the Supreme Court Justices in the book remind people of fortune cookies....
